Kurt Elling "Dedicated To You" Grammy Winner.

Hello All:) I am so excited to have my new site up that has been re-vamped and designed by Ben Azzara. On this site we have some new additions. One feature is the news portion in which I'll be updating frequently while on the road. I also have some new events, and performances, so please keep checking the site frequently for more exciting news...

Last year was a very eventful year full of wonderful surprises and performances with some amazing artists. I was also very fortunate with the help of my Producer Greg Knowles, to record and release my debut CD, It's TIme For U, with my band The U.O. Project. The CD has been receiving some great reviews from major publications such as This Is Books Music, Jazz Times, and many others. So we are on our way up the ladder of Success:)

The last few months of 2009 were very busy and I had a great time with The Christian Mcbride trio in Europe, of which there are some clips from that tour on the video page. I also was fortunate to do a tour with Russell Malone's Quartet in Switzerland in November, and finished off the year with Kurt Elling in St.Louis, and Italy. The KEQ has been fortunate to be playing the Umbria Winter Jazz Festival in Orvieto during the new year featuring the incredible Ernie Watts , and it was an absolute blast. We also had a chance to hang out with John Pattituci, Romero Lumbambo, Larry Goldings, Allan Harris, Gerald Clayton, John Clayton, and many other great musicians. While on the road, we also find out that Kurt's recent CD, "Dedicated To You", has been nominated for a 2010 Grammy Award; so we are hoping for the best on January 31st!!!!

In 2010, I have some exciting shows coming up with my band The U.O. Project in N.Y.C, and also some great performances with Christian Mcbride's Inside Straight Band and Big Band, so please keep checking the Itinerary page for venue and ticket information. I also have some performances at the Kennedy Center coming up with the legendary Toshiko Akiyoshi and many other great performance opportunities happening in the Spring.
